The staff was so helpful and this place is gorgeous. Unfortunately our cat Marty consumed part of a rubber stretchy fidget and we had to make the 1.5 hour drive from Scranton at 11pm. After showing up to the vet in Wilkes Barre and being told it was a 15 hour wait, I called others in the area and their wait times were 2-6 hours. Quakertown had no wait, and did inform me that there were two people in the queue on their way but even when we got there, the other people were already in rooms and we were taken right away. Speaking on the phone with the scheduler, he was very clear about where to park, what doors we needed to use, etc. The lady at the front desk was great and enjoyed seeing Marty. The vet was incredibly helpful and explained things in easy to understand language and showed us the Xrays. While there was nothing more they could do and we just had to wait it out, I left feeling like I had done everything I could do and felt confident about caring for my cat until he passed the item. Thankfully I found the item on the floor in 48 hours. I would gladly visit them, and pay the money, again any time I need an emergency vet. I highly recommend them.
Three times I have had to use the vets ER. It’s reassuring that the hospital is open 24/7. Because we use Quakertown vets for regular care, vaccines and well checkups we are not charged the ER fees. My older lab was recently found to have heart failure. Due to the vet finding it when he was there for another reason, led to Alex getting early treatment. They have every specialist one could need. Frosty our German shepherd puppy was found to have a GI infection and treated. I can always get an appointment fairly quickly. The staff are great, understanding, very competent and knowledgeable. They take the time to care for my boys and answer my questions so I can make an educated informed decision caring for them.
Never had a bad experience with QVC. They saved my little girl’s life a few years ago. All of the staff is so kind, I love that I’m always able to reach them-you have no idea how important communication is to me since I’ve had bad experiences elsewhere. Very happy here. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
3 different vets in the area could not diagnosis my dogs symptoms, she had a really bad and deep cough, that they all kept giving me different pills that did not work, and said it was her heart. I finally went to a real hospital, they ultra sound her heart and said there was nothing wrong with it. said it was a tracheal collapse, gave me medicine to give her, and finally no more cough. I spent over a thousand dollars between those other 3.
