Practice Manager

Biography

I began my career in veterinary medicine right out of high school, driven by a lifelong passion for animals. Since 2002, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of support roles, which helped me build a strong foundation in patient care and hospital operations. Over time, I grew into the role of Practice Manager, where I now focus on supporting both my team and the patients and families we serve. I can’t imagine doing anything else.

If I could have any animal in the world as a pet, it would be a dog. I admire their intelligence and loyalty.

I currently have an Anatolian Shepherd named Raider, who I rescued from Iraq. My favorite thing about him is his goofy personality and his ability to make me laugh no matter what kind of day I’m having. I also have a domestic shorthair cat named Chloe. My favorite thing about her is how she can turn just about anything into a toy. She finds joy in the simplest things, which is always fun to watch.

The most rewarding part of working with animals is being able to make a difference in their lives, whether that’s helping them feel better, keeping them healthy, or simply providing comfort. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of a team that supports both pets and their owners during every stage of life.

I’m especially passionate about heartworm disease prevention. I previously had a rescue Lab mix named Coal who went through a very difficult heartworm treatment process. While he ultimately recovered and went on to live a long, happy life, it was heartbreaking to see him struggle. That experience reinforced how important prevention is and continues to motivate me to educate others and advocate for proactive care.
